Ok, so, I don't really like the word brave. It is like courage I suppose. Everyone on the planet is supposed to know what it means. I have never heard of anything specific about it. What I mean is how does one be brave step by step, nice and easy?
But I do like this song. There are some places in the lyrics where the meaning is clear. "Just let it all fall out". I like that, because I can do that, not easy, but it does make sense. Here are the lyrics:

I sometimes wonder what it means to be brave. Feel the fear and do it anyway? I am not sure. I know I am an anxious person. Does anxiety mean less brave? I am not sure. I worked with gang members and violent youth, was this brave or crazy when I was young? LOL
ReplyDeleteFeel the fear and do it anyway will give me a heart attack. That's why I think I need to have steps to take to even be able to feel the fear. I start with acknowledging the fear. At least then I'm not ignoring it, because it is too strong anyway.
DeleteAnxiety I think, just means the nervous system is on alert. We learned this from formative years. It doesn't mean less brave, but necessary for survival. I wouldn't worry too much about that one. Its bound to work out when fear is acknowledged. I think anyway.
Working with the youth in that unstable environment, might have meant that you didn't know what that system was about. So it felt comfy at the time. I remember that any environment didn't bother me too much, no matter who said it was dangerous. Mother was the worst one to be around, everything else felt good.
